EagleGet has ad-free video sniffer, and EagleGet is the first freeware download manager that supports automatic refresh expired download links. EagleGet can be integrated to Chrome, IE, Firefox, Opera, and uses multi-threaded technology to boost downloads. It's available for a host of different platforms and - for you geeks - it can be used to download via cli too.EagleGet is a free all-in-one download manager it supports HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, MMS and RTSP protocol as well as popular online video websites. I'd personally recommend uGet Download Manager. However, I'd suggest you to copy the link to the content (option to copy the link appears on clicking the extension) and then use a downloader software to do the job. If it has, you can click on download to save the video to your local machine. Once you are in a webpage playing video content, just click on the FVD extension to check if the content has been sniffed. It does a pretty good job and works similarly to EG. If you're on Chrome you can install it here. But one that has come really close is an extension called Flash Video Downloader. To be honest, there isn't a lot out there. Ever since I've moved to using Linux Mint recently, (which was a great decision) I have been looking for something that could replace EG. Sadly, EG remains a Windows only software for now. The extension has the ability to sniff video content on nearly every website and with a click of a button, it allows you to download the media content.

But what makes it great is the accompanying Chrome extension. It's essentially a downloader software for Windows, with a very simple UI. One of the (very few) things I miss about using Windows 10, was this small piece of software known as EagleGet.
